Freelance COPYWRITER (Remote)

Our Scriptwriters/Copywriters work on a wide variety of projects, including 30s and 1:00 digital and tv advertising spots, organic social media content, radio spots, and everything in between. 

In this project-based role, you will work in a collaborative and hands-on manner with The Hooligans internal creative team.

You should be a master at taking message guidance and creative direction and turning that into a script - often on tight turnarounds and under pressure.

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

  • A conceptual, innovative, and creative storyteller that loves making content.

  • Well-versed in existing and emerging social media platforms, as well as how people consume digital content.

  • A voracious consumer of pop culture and current affairs. 

  • Politically engaged. You don’t have to have direct political experience (though we love that!!) However, you should be motivated and itching to put your skills to use for a variety of Democratic and progressive causes.

  • Either 4-5 years experience in TV, entertainment, video, agency, or digital creative roles OR 1 political election cycle. Advocacy and nonprofit experience are also highly desirable.

  • Serious script and copywriting chops. You know how to develop several concepts against a creative brief and turn them into scripts. 

  • Significant experience working with short-form content, specifically: 15s, 30s, and 1:00 paid digital and tv ads.

  • A nimble and open-minded approach. You enjoy trying different approaches and are comfortable incorporating data and analytics insights into creative refreshes where applicable.

Freelance  VIDEO POST PRODUCER (Remote)

In this role, you will work in a collaborative and hands-on manner with Copywriters, Video Editors, Motion Graphics Designers, and The Hooligans internal creative team. 

 

You should be a creative thinker who knows how to shepherd a great piece of content through all aspects of production, from ideation to delivery, on time without sacrificing quality.

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
